The Stage Show
“Kill Shakespeare is an innovative collision of Comic Con-meets-the-Stratford Festival. This show Shakes it up, indeed!”
— Chicago Heartbeat
Kill Shakespeare: Page to Stage is the comic series come to life on stage.
Art from the series is projected on screen while actors, musicians and foley artists work together to re-create the drama and adventure of the award winning comic books.
It’s part staged reading, part radio play, and completely unique.
The show was originally commissioned by Toronto’s acclaimed Young Centre for the Performing Arts, and has been performed in over twenty theatres across three continents, including an engagement at the home of the Bard himself, Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London, England. It’s also been performed at comic conventions from New York to Dubai.
PUTTING ON THE PLAY
Page to Stage is a show simple enough for a school drama group to mount, but complex enough for the Bard himself to enjoy. We invite you to bring Page to Stage to your audience.
The show can be performed by a moderate cast – we recommend a minimum of six and because of its radio-play-esque design can be performed, “on-book” (meaning minimal rehearsal time). Of course, some companies have gone a much more elaborate route – Kill Shakespeare Page to Stage is limited only by your company’s imagination.
